Meet the Photographer

Hi, my name is Nova

My love for photography started when I was just a kid. The moment I got my first camera, I couldn’t put it down, I was constantly clicking away, trying to capture every little detail around me. I drove my mom crazy with how many rolls of film she had to take in for developing, but those early days are where I first discovered the magic of freezing a moment in time.

That spark only grew brighter when I started taking photography classes in high school. For the first time, I learned the technical side of photography—how to shape light, compose an image, and tell a story through a single frame. It was in those classes that I realized this wasn’t just a hobby; it was something I wanted to dedicate myself to. That decision carried me into college, where I majored in photography and spent years honing my craft.

Since then, for more than a decade, I’ve continued to nurture that passion through freelancing and capturing memories for friends and families. Every session, whether it’s a milestone celebration, a couple’s love story, or a family’s everyday joy, reminds me of why I fell in love with photography in the first place. It’s not just about taking pictures—it’s about preserving feelings, connections, and moments that will be cherished for years to come.

FAQ

01. Where are you located?

I’m based in the Boulder, Colorado area, but I’m always happy to travel to capture your story. Whether it’s nearby in the Front Range or a bit farther away, we can plan the perfect location together. Travel fees may apply depending on distance.

02. What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Living in Colorado means unpredictable weather! If conditions aren’t safe or ideal, we’ll work together to reschedule at no extra cost. For light changes (like a cloudy day), I’ll adapt and make sure your photos still look amazing.

03. How far in advance should I book my session?

I recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance to make sure your preferred date and time are available. Popular seasons (like fall and spring) tend to fill quickly, so the earlier you reach out, the better! For weddings, I recommend booking 3 or more months in advance—but always reach out, because I may still have your date available

04. Do you help with posing?

Yes! Don’t worry about feeling awkward in front of the camera—I’ll guide you through natural prompts and poses so you feel comfortable and look your best. My goal is to capture authentic moments, not stiff smiles.
